Virtual Families 2

First, before changing anything in your game, backup your images folder.

On the PC in order to use new content in Virtual Families 2, original content needs to be replaced. But what if you want to use something decorative from the original content?

Here are a few different ways you can add it to your VF's homes.

Let's say you want to use the toothbrush holder, but you also want to use the content that would replace it. Go to Virtual Families 2/Images directory and find the section of map you would like to place the toothbrush holder onto.

For example, if you wanted to place the toothbrush holder on the sink in the first bathroom, you would open MapX1Y2.jpg in a graphics editing program (Photoshop, Gimp), go to your Virtual Families 2/Images/Furniture directory and choose the toothbrush holder.

Add the toothbrush holder to the sink on the map piece and save the file. Copy and replace with the original map piece in your Virtual Families 2/Images folder.

Okay, that's all well and good, but what if you wanted to add a lamp to a bedside table? Open the table you would like to use from your Virtual Families 2/Images/Furniture directory in your graphics editing program. Then open the lamp, place the lamp onto the table in your graphics editing program and save the file to Virtual Families 2/Images/Furniture.

These are a few quick and easy ways of decorating that you can try. I would not recommend adding beds, barbecues or anything that your little guys can use, as when they are edited onto a map or another item of furniture they can no longer be used.
